Actually I talked with Lefteris Bournias about your issue and he said that he wouldn't expect it to be different. He uses the same mouthpieces for his Bb to G clarinets and has no problems. Among his 20+ clarinets we couldn't find a C one. Now someone with his experience can definitely put many corrections to the pitch just by blowing differently. You may also try an Eb mouthpiece or call a woodwind shop and ask specifically for one. |
