Hello again!

I was looking for a site or generaly info about the various tempos (for metroneome) that go with traditional greek songs.

In example, a just learned how to play "Gianni mou to mantili sou", but can not find the right tempo to play it.
Likewise, I want to proceed to other songs and still want to find the tempos!

Any ideas???

I don't know if these fall outside of the realm of "traditional" I have spent about 2 yrs trying to work on learning Greek music, but some of the "folk/demotika" music books that I have from Greece aren't exactly what I was looking to reproduce/learn. Tracking down our panegyri favorites is what I have been after.

I absolutely love this album I have of Giorgos Dimitopoulos & Agathi

Starts out very slow and dramatic with:

Na s'agapw hvta 'thela
then goes right into
Glyka Glyka

Opa - Opa is another easy favorite on this CD that would be fun to know.

I have been wanting sheet music for this and to be able to learn this song for several years--my all time favorite from my own wedding reception. I can't wait to try it out and get practicing again.

O Kokkoras, aka stou paidiou moy ti hara. Very simple song. Good opportunity to practice some sharps!
